                    Sharon and Central Coast Wineries

                    Picture
Although many wineries exist in the Sharon and Coastal Line, very few of the grapes are produced in the Sharon and Coastal Line Region.  Many of the famous wineries in this region, such as, Saslov Winery, Recanati Winery, and Margalit, own vineyards in the Galilee Mountain Region and also buy their grapes from different regions in Israel.  What is so unique about Israel is that the majority of the wine-makers are trained outside of Israel in the countries of New Zealand, France, America, Italy and Australia. Therefore, when they return from their training, they bring their experience of another culture to Israel and create magnificent blends, but also grow different varieties of grapes which in turn makes Israel extremely diverse in her grape choices.  This is great for the winemakers because when they buy grapes from each others vineyards, they can mix cultures and be creative in how they make their wine.

There are over 15 wineries in this region which range from some of the most well-respected and awarded wineries in Israel.  Winemakers from Saslov and Margalit lead the Israeli wine industry with their knowledge and creativity. Some of the wineries iin this regions nclude:  Alexander Winery, Wine's Secret Winery, Vitkin, Villa Wilhelma Winery, and Chillag Winery.
