Jerusalem and Judean Hills Wineries

Picture
The Jerusalem and Hevron Mountain Region holds the largest number of Kosher wineries in a concentrated area in Israel. The rolling hills that reach up to 1000 meters above sea level create grapes that are fit for a King, which they were back in the Temple days.  The soil is a mixture of limestone and small pebbles which construct excellent drainage.  The weather is cold and snowy in the winter and hot in the summer, although dry with a cool breeze which depending on the angle of the hill could create the highest quality grapes.

Some of the well-known wineries in this region are Domaine du Castel, Gush Etzion Winery, Tzuba Winery,  Seahorse Winery, Psagot Winery and Shiloh Winery, Tzuba Winery.
