Galilee Wineries
The Galilee Mountain region produces some of the highest-quality wine grapes in Israel. The Galilee Mountain is 40 miles long and 30 miles wide, located north of the Jezre’el and west of the Jordan River in the northern section of Israel. The Upper Galilee Mountains peak to about 4000 feet above sea level while the Lower Galilee Mountains peak to about 500 feet above sea level. The rocky terrain, limestone sub soils, volcanic soil, cool night breezes, high rainfall and low temperatures create an atmosphere where the grapes can thrive to produce superior grapes.
Some of the most well-known wineries and vineyards are located in the Galilee Mountain Region such as Kerem Ben Zimra Winery, Dalton, Galil Mountain, Rimon Winery, Adir Winery, Miles Winery, and Tabor Winery. These wineries range from corporate to family owned, high-end, quality wines with full body and attention to detail.
