On June 1st, the Donig family enjoyed a wine tour of the Carmel Region wineries.  I gave them a personal tour of Tishbi Winery where they thoroughly enjoyed the art of tasting wine with all their five senses. They learned what it meant to make kosher wine verse non-kosher wine, the process of wine making, and the effect of the First Aliyah to the Tishbi and Dahan (Somek Winery) families.

We then enjoyed a stroll at Ramat HaNadiv, we smelled the herb garden, and saw the beautiful outlook of the Mediterranean Coast.

Next we toured and tasted Somek Winery, which the Donig family loved the 2003 Port which was oaked for 3 years in the sun and is a combination of Cabernet and Merlot wine and fortified with Italian brandy.

That night the Donig family flew back to the United States with their bottles of Israeli wine and a lot of fun-filled pictures
